Engineered Foundations –
The Smartest Way To Replace A Foundation

In most cases we will hire two different types of engineers to make sure that the way we are going about the replacement or repair of your foundation is done correctly.

The first engineer is a GeoTechnical Engineer. Their job is to investigate the subsurface soils and rocks to determine the stability of the soils. They are also investigating ground water issues as well as slopes.

The whole purpose of this is to determine the risks associated with the proposed construction. It is also done to make sure the methods we use will hold up to the conditions of the soil and water conditions of the site.

They also help with fixing drainage problems in the most effective and efficient way. Water problems in Medford and all of Southern Oregon are the biggest culprits.

The second type of engineer we use is a Structural Engineer. Their job is to verify that our planning, configurations, methods and materials are correct for that job. They are also verifying that what we are doing is structurally sound.

Both of these engineers are crucial to the success of the repair or replacement of your foundation. Like you, we want the job done right.

Not all of our jobs require engineering as each situation is different. But by utilizing engineers we both sleep better at night.
